Grutten-mountain path Beautiful walk to the highest hut at the Wilder Kaiser mountain
This ambitious tour starts at the hotel. You walk through the underpass across the golf course in direction Wimm (a village part of Ellmau). Follow the hiking way no 23 to the Biedringer Platte/ Riedlhut. From now on follow the hiking way no 822/ 14a to the Gruttenhut.
The way from the Riedlhut to the Gruttenhut is ambitious and just for good hikers. The hiking time is approx. 3 ½ hours – difficult walk
Reiteralm, "little" Pölven Mountain walk with foresight – one peak with two summit crosses
This tour is mostly on a beautiful forest path and is an excellent hiking tip for hot summer days. You start at the town centre of Söll, pass the Postwirt and the bandstand. Further on at the Pirchmooser chapel and the hotel Hochfilzer (in Söll!). Follow always the hiking way no 4 in direction Reiteralm. After the Reiteralm walk strait on (steep!) until you reach the peak “little” Pölven. At the top you will have an amazing view which you shouldn’t miss!
Walking time approx. 3 hours – difficult walk
DIFFICULT WALK - Hintere Goinger Halt - JUST FOR EXPERIENCED HIKERS!!! The Hintere Goinger Halt is a popular and accessible peak at the Wilder Kaiser.
It is a demanding climb but the reward is a magnificent view over the whole region from 2,195 metres. Sure footedness and a head for heights are needed!
From the Wochenbrunneralm along the rubble path to the Gaudeamushütte (1263m). From here it is well marked and signposted to the Ellmauer Tor (No. 813 and 812). From here a marked route to the right leads in a north-easterly direction, to the Hinter Goinger Halt. Then it's back down the same way! Hiking time aprox. 5,5 hours - difficult walk!
