Kaiserkrone

Wild and free - in 6 days around the Wilder Kaiser on old paths.

A mountain experience in a class of its own

The six days' hike from cottage to cottage is one of the most beautiful multi-day round trips of Tyrol. It leads mountain hikers once around the impressive massif of the Wilder Kaiser and crosses an altitude difference of more than 9,000 metres. The Wilder Kaiser fascinates by its majestic air in an exposed location and its interaction of rough rock, dark forests and gentle mountain meadows. The wonderful views from the Chiemsee to the Cross convey a feeling of freedom and magnificence.

The Kaiserkrone can be reached well from any town around the Kaiser mountains. The Kaiserkrone can usually be accessed from early June to Mid-October. The six legs of the route can be adjusted individually. Some offer several options for staying the night. The different starting and end points, the many cottages and shorter alpine routes and summit climbs permit many different Kaiserkrone versions. An extended weekend can be spent on a 3 days' cottage hike from the Going bathing lake to the Hintersteiner lake. A free-of-charge hiking bus will return you to the starting point. This service also makes it possible to do the legs on the South side of the Wilder Kaiser as day tours from the valley.
