The Wilder Kaiser family region is richly endowed with natural treasures and unique natural surroundings. And thus from summer 2007, in the area between Going and St. Johann, an almost forgotten natural oasis has been awakened from its enchanted sleep.
Surrounding the Römerhof Inn there are moorland areas of varying sizes with flora and fauna which is unique in Europe. These were used in the past for agricultural purposes, then replanted and are now becoming naturalised again in a cross-border, interregional project in cooperation with the Austrian Forestry Commission. For families a forest experience playground and an open-air class room have been established near the Römerhof. And further projects to enhance this unique landscape are already at the planning stage.
