Autumn in the Wilder Kaiser region not only captivates with its unrivalled display of colours but also offers the perfect backdrop for active holidaymakers on long hikes and cycle rides. During the ‘Active Days’ from 10 to 24 October, 2 or 3 activities (depending on the length of stay – 4 or 7 nights) are already included. The programme varies daily and you are free to choose your activities. To round off an active day in the great outdoors, you’ll also receive a drinks voucher.

The Active Days from 10 to 24 October include:

  • 4 or 7 nights’ accommodation in the booked room category
  • 2 or 3 activities from the activity programme included (4 nights = 2 activities, 7 nights = 3 activities)
  • €15 drink voucher per full-paying guest (4 nights), €25 drink voucher per full-paying guest (7 nights)
  • Hochfilzer ‘Verwöhnpension’ (generous breakfast buffet, afternoon cake buffet, 4-course evening meal)
  • Free KaiserJet hiking bus (daily)
  • Free entry to the pool and sauna area, as well as the Sky Sauna and fitness room, for Hotel Hochfilzer guests
  • Entry to the swimming and sauna area for guests of the Gartenhotel Flora & Haus Garden can be booked on site each day: €15 for adults, €7.50 for children (aged 3–14)

Monday’s cycle ride: An adventure around the Hohe Salve

The tour around the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser showcases the sheer size of the ski area. It connects two valleys: the Sölllandl and the Brixental, which we’ll get to know better on our tour. Difficulty: easy / Duration: 5 hours

Tuesday hike: Places of power in the Kaiser Mountains

This popular walk takes us from the Wochenbrunner Alm to the Baumgartenköpfl. After a short break, we continue on to the Obere Regalm (where we can stop for refreshments) before heading via the Ackerlhütte to the Schleierwasserfall. This is considered a special place of spiritual energy. Difficulty: easy / Duration: approx. 6 hours

Wednesday cycle ride: A leisurely ride through the Spertental valley

This tour is ideal for e-bike beginners. It takes you at a leisurely pace from Ellmau to Kirchberg in the Spertental valley – a natural gem – and along the Aschauer Ache to the idyllic village of Aschau at an altitude of 1,000 metres. Difficulty: easy / Duration: 5.5 hours

Thursday’s walk: 2-lake walk

The tow lake walk offers stunning views and an idyllic setting. It leads from lake Schwarzsee in Kitzbühel along wide forest tracks to Gieringer Weiher and is particularly captivating thanks to the breathtaking views of the Wilder Kaiser – there are some incredible photo spots! Difficulty: easy / Duration: 6 hours

Friday cycle ride: From the Hartkaiser to Lake Hinterstein

From Ellmau, the route takes you across the Weissachgraben to the Ranhartalm on the Hartkaiser, then via Scheffau and Söll towards Lake Hinterstein. Difficulty: moderate / Duration: 5 hours
