Almabtrieb

The traditional Almabtrieb takes place each year at the end of September. Cows are festively decorated early in the morning as a symbol of thanks for an accident-free summer on the mountain pastures.
Local farmers and producers of fresh produts like cheese, bacon and bread, lead the cattle past the alpine huts all the way down to the valley.

Highlights:
+ Concert of the Söll brass band
+ Market stands with special traditional food: Krapfen, Kiachl, cheese, farmer’s bacon etc.
+ Original handicraft stands
+ Children‘s horse carriage ride free of charge
+ Between noon and approx. 3:00pm the decorated cows make their way through the village on route to their home stables

This program takes place in all weathers and entrance is free of charge.
So, please come and enjoy the entertainment, as well as the traditional food and drinks.
