Ausstieg beim KaiserJet

The KaiserJet

The KaiserJet hiking and swimming bus takes you daily to all mountain railways, swimming pools and excursion destinations on the Wilder Kaiser in summer (around mid-May to mid-October).
There are a total of 4 busses in use during the high season.
Holders of a Wilder Kaiser Guest Card, Citizen Card or a lift pass travel for free.

Hikingbus Wochenbrunner Alm

This free hikers’ bus runs daily between the Ellmau Dorf/Bauhof bus stop the trailhead of the hike to the Wochenbrunner Alm Alpine hut. Passengers can change to/from the KaiserJet and regular buses at the Ellmau Dorf/Bauhof bus stop.

Hikingbus Hintersteiner See

The Hintersteiner See hiking bus, also free with Wilder Kaiser Card, runs daily between Scheffau Dorf and Hintersteiner See lake (alternating between the west and east shores). You can change at the Scheffau Dorf stop from/to the KaiserJet and to the regular buses.

Group transport Hintersteiner See hiking bus: Due to the tight timetable, no special trips for groups are possible. Groups can use the lake bus in the same way as individual guests and, if necessary, split up between several turni (=waiting time!). Groups (from 10 persons) without Wilder Kaiser GästeCard can order their own, shuttle directly from our taxi providers (not free of charge).

Ruftaxi Ellmau - Going

for your transfer to the starting points of the hikes - new in summer 2022

How it works:

  • Call Ruftaxi partner Stadttaxi Team 3912 (+43 5358 3912) in advance.
  • Arrange pick-up time (usually a pick-up is possible within 10 - 30 minutes after calling, during peak times it can take up to 45 minutes)
  • Pick-up in front of your accommodation or at a bus stop in Ellmau or Going
  • Taxi transfer to the desired hiking starting point Hüttling, Tannbichl, Haflingertränke or Bergschenke
  • The Ellmau-Going Ruftaxi is available from 3.6. to 3.10.2022 from 8:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 18:00 and costs € 2,00 per person per way (children up to 6 years free, cash payment to the driver).

Public Busses

The use of all public buses in the region to the end stations Kufstein, Wörgl, St. Johann or Kitzbühel is included in the Wilder Kaiser Guest Card all year round. The guest card must be presented to the driver on request when entering.
