Alpine Music Festival

The Musikherbst at the Wilden Kaiser, in the idyllic Tyrolean mountain village of Ellmau, has been a must for fans of traditional music for twenty years. Guests from all over the world come to enjoy the best known folk music festival in the alpine region with the top stars of this genre.

At the end of September and beginning of October fans come not just from all over Europe, but also from the USA and Canada, to soak up the atmosphere in the show tent on the Hartkaiserplatz in Ellmau. Sharing the stage are top stars of the folk music scene - Hansi Hinterseer, Boney M., Marc Picher, Francine Jordi and others.

During the two Alpine Music Festival weeks, the huge farmers market with over 50 exhibitors from the region display their wares during the day on each of the Saturdays. On Thursdays and and Fridays there is also a musical "Frühschoppen" in the Restaurant Bergkaiser in the top station of the Hartkaiserbahn.
